Women’s Rideau Parka

The Women’s Rideau Parka from Canada Goose is a medium-weight jacket for winter season. They call it a “Parka”, but most people would think of this as a jacket. The traditional parkas seem to have the fur hoods. This doesn’t. Here are the traditional Canada Goose Parkas. The Rideau has the adjustable hood with the draw cord that does not detach. A nice feature is the chin guard- it is pretty comfy and warm and protects you from wind. Another feature I like is the two internal pockets for keys and such. The jacket both zips up (It has the YKK zipper) and buttons up.

Overall I think this jacket/parka is good for people who are looking for the warmth of Canada Goose who dont want a fur hood. On a warmer day it might draw less attention to yourself and also, if it happens to rain the fur wont get ruined. Made of Polyester and cotton blend. Overall Solid.

Men’s Hybridge Lite Jacket

The Hybridge Lite Jacket is a lightweight jacket from the Canada Goose line. The design is slim- it will hug your body unlike some of the bulkier winter coats you are used to. This is about as lightweight as Canada Goose Jackets go, but it will still keep you warm down to 10 degrees. The jacket is water-resistant…it will be fine in the rain but don’t jump in the pool.

The Hybridge has a non-hooded option (as seen here) and a hooded version for a couple dollars more. This version has the high-collar that does a good job at blocking out the wind.

The Canada Goose Mystic Parka is a long, warm winter coat for women. It is heavy-weight but still manages to be stylish. It is unique–as of writing it is the only full-length Canada Goose Jacket available. The jacket goes to about the mid-calf. The jacket great for very cold weather. Canada Goose claims it is close to the Expedition but I would put it closer to the Kensington.

The Mystic has both a removable hood or the fur lining by itself is removable. This has interior shoulder straps that allow you to carry over your shoulder. The side wind-guard is nice-protect your face from the wind!

Elastic wrist-cuffs to keep the cold out.

Men’s Citadel Parka

The Citadel Parka from Canada Goose is a heavy-weight jacket that goes down to the thigh area. It has the “slim” fit and look, meaning it is not very puffy, and looks long and lean. I am a fan of the look. The fur on the Citadel is removable- unlike some of the other heavy-weight parkas. If you need warmer, go with the Expedition. However, this will do the job for 98% of the people out there. It is good for sub-zero temperatures.

The bottom of the waist is elastic. The jacket has a draw-cord to keep it tight to your body and the winter out. The Citadel is made from polyester, cotton and down. This has the standard “hand-warmer” pockets that come with most Canada Goose Parkas-the pockets are lined-well. This also has a chin-guard for those windy days.

Women’s Montebello Parka

The Women’s Montebello Parka from Canada Goose is a medium weight jacket that is great for winter. The Montebello has two interior pockets and two warm exterior pockets for your hands and the utility pocket for your phone or keys. You can see the classic Canada Goose hood. This is not removable. The jacket has a polyester exterior with a cotton and down interior. Very comfy! I suggest you get one size bigger as it seems to run small.

This is similar to the Trellium line, in that it is form-fitting around the waist. That is one of my favorite aspects of the CG brand. The Montebello is a slightly cheaper option than the Trellium and covers slightly less and is lighter. The best thing about this jacket is that it is light weight while keeping you warm. Also, it has the feminine fit that hugs the hips just right.

Men’s Chateau Parka Jacket

The Chateau for men is a durable heavy winter jacket from Canada Goose. You’ll feel warm in temperatures down to negative 15 degrees. The Chateau is water resistant and is made from polyester and down. The fit is slim, even though the jacket is heavy for warmth. Like most Canada Goose Jackets it has the heavy duty zipper in the front but this is unique in that it has buttons to seal the fabric over the zipper. That gives it a nice upscale look.

The Chateau is in the Parka series so you will get the iconic fur-lined hood. This comes with 5 pockets. Three on the inside and two exterior for your hands or ipod or gloves. This is not the heaveast jacket in their line, but as long as you are not climbing Everest, or in Antarctica this will provide more than enough protection for you. I like the slim look and buttons which is why I give it the high grade.

Women’s Trillium Parka

The Canada Goose Women’s Trillium Parka is a medium-weight coat for temperatures around zero degrees or less. It has a somewhat fashionable look. It looks like a dress-jacket if you have a shorter torso like I do. It will keep you plenty warm, but I would recommend a heavier jacket if you are a true outdoorsman. This feels more fashionable to me…which is fine…just know what you are getting.

This comes with the signature fur parka hood. The hood is adjustable in the back but not detachable. This is another great entry in to the Canada Goose parka line. You wont feel like a marshmallow, you’ll feel agile and fashionable in the Trillium.

The only negative is that the collar can be a bit rough. Not a deal breaker, just being thorough. Also, buy a size larger than you normally would. Comes in a variety of colors. Available in size xxs- xxl. Seen here in red.

Freestyle Vest (Women’s)

Canada Goose’s Freestyle Vest is about as warm as a vest as you can buy. Being Canada Goose, it is still surprisingly lightweight and not poofy at all. That is what you are paying for-the warmth that this can provide while still being able to show a hint of your figure. The material is polyester and down with fleece in the pockets. This is good for a crisp small evening or I suppose you could use this as layer 1 of a winter outfit. The poly is water resistant.

I have one issue with the design of the vest. Perhaps there is a reason, but the back of the vest is slightly longer. Sometimes it will be annoying and flip upwards. I still like it though, but that is what I would fix with version 2.0. Also, it runs a bit small.

The Camp Hoody is a cute & functional Canada Goose light-medium weight jacket. (It is hard describing the jackets perfectly. What Canada Goose considers light-weight, everyone but an Eskimo would consider medium). This jacket is for those who want the same warmth and wind protection from a traditional Canada Goose jacket without the fur-lined hood.

The jacket is long and slimming. This is a great choice if you are in cold weather but still want to look good. I am a real fan of the long design because I always feel like such a marshmallow during the winters with the huge coats. Anything that can keep me warm and be slightly form-fitting and fashionable is fantastic.

This outperforms my North Face and Outdoor Research for both looks and warmth/weight ratio.

Women’s Expedition Parka

The Women’s Expedition Parka by Canada Goose is for the most extreme cold weather temperatures. This might be the warmest jacket in the line. It claims it was designed for Antarctica. I believe it! This jacket performs admirably on the coldest Michigan days. I felt warm in sub-zero temperature. Interestingly, I felt surprisingly agile given the warmth provided.

The coat is made of polyester, cotton and down. The poly does a good job of shielding you from the wind. The Women’s Expedition has two side pockets which are warm and in a comfortable position. The hood does not detach. If you are in weather where you don’t need a hood, try a lighter-weight jacket. (Or go crazy and wear the hood down).

This is not the jacket if you are the type of person who lives in California and is looking for something on those cold 40 degree days. If that is your situation you will hate this jacket. This coat is for extreme weather. For this it is a great choice.
